At Ahmed Family Practice, we use spirometry testing in Metro Atlanta to check how well your lungs function. To begin, we have you sit down, and your provider places a clip over your nostril. You take a deep breath and exhale as hard as you can into a tube attached to a machine for a few seconds. You may feel dizzy or experience shortness of breath, but this should resolve once testing is complete.
